Hi! I’m Julia – a Brooklyn based photographer. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2014, but it all started way before then. My fascination with and curiosity around photography started as a little girl in the dark room at summer camp. I continued on to study photography in high school and college. In my 20’s, I worked in the finance world as a CPA for 5 years before going full time with my photography business. While working in accounting was not always the most thrilling job, it taught me the skills to successfully start and run my own business. Shooting weddings for almost 10 years now, I’ve never looked back!
I live with my husband and our two little kids. Becoming a mom has opened my eyes to a whole new love and appreciation for wedding days. One of the things I love most about our neighborhood is how close we are to Brooklyn Bridge Park. The water and city views calm me and I try to get down there every day (even if just for a few minutes). I love to travel and my two favorite trips have been to Patagonia and Italy. When I’m not busy shooting weddings I photograph families and editorial work while trying to spend as much time with my family as I can. Living in Brooklyn I am constantly surrounded by inspiration, both big and small. I am lucky to call this crazy city my home and wouldn’t change it for the world.
